RHCP in East Hampton

I’m not sure exactly what it is but RHCP are playing/doing something in East Hampton tonight. I’d heard on the grapevine that they were going to be there but the details were very vague, but Flea has now posted from there. AK flew out to New York a day or so ago, Josh is in NY too as he’s visited a record shop and been photographed there and it sounds rather like Chad on those drums…

Josh Klinghoffer: Pluralone

Finally some details about Josh’s solo work! It’s going by the name Pluralone and will be released on August 16th, 2019.
Pluraloneis a new project from multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Josh Klinghoffer. While best known as the current guitarist for the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Klinghoffer also fronts the group Dot Hacker, and has played with a long list of notable artists over the years. Pluralone’s debut single release features two covers, both in languages foreign to Klinghoffer. “Io Sono Quel Che Sono” was originally popularized by Italian singer Mina. “Menina Mulher Da Pele Preta” was written and performed by Brazilian popular musician Jorge Ben. Klinghoffer performs all instrumentals and vocals for both tracks. The collage artwork was created by Dot Hacker drummer, Eric Gardner.

RHCP Performing with Post Malone at the Grammys

Date: Sunday 10th February

Location: Staples Center, LA

Last night, RHCP played with Post Malone as his special guests. The performance started with Post Malone singing a solo track and then singing part of his song, Rockstar – inevitably, before he joined the Red Hot Chili Peppers in a chopped up version of Dark Necessities.

Rolling Stone article about the collaboration between Post Malone and RHCP

There’s a video I believe on the Grammy Awards website (but I can’t view it).
