Clearly, as it’s Blackie’s autobiography, it contains stories and mention of his son, Anthony Kiedis, but it also mentions the Red Hot Chili Peppers so it’s a great read for fans of Anthony himself and the band as a whole.

Blackie has given so much to the RHCP community over the years so please support him in this venture and download it; the book has been a real labour of love to him. Enjoy everyone!

The Warner Sound has launched it’s new season for spring  and there’s a new offering called “The Gorburger Show.” It stars comedian TJ Miller as the voice of Gorburger who is a vulgar alien from outer space who just happens to have taken over a Japanese talk show where he interviews musicians and celebrities. Episode one of the new season features Flea! During the episode, Flea discusses Red Hot Chili Peppers’ sock wearing, matters of the heart and even gives his own endition of the popular dance, the worm!

The Gorburger Show, is presented by Funny or Die and The Warner Sound. Season 2 features not only Flea but also Wayne Coyne of The Flaming Lips, Carson Daly, Eagles of Death Metal with Jack Black, Henry Rollins and more. The The first episode of the new season premiered today on The Warner Sound, and new episodes will launch each week on Monday at 11am ET / 8am PT on The Warner Sound  on Monday, March 11 at 11 a.m. ET. .

Apologies due to real life making this on the tail end, but Tony Woolliscroft is exhibiting his Red Hot Chili Peppers and Foo Fighters photos again in another display to follow on from the UK exhibitions of his photos at Rock City Art, Bedford and then Stoke-on-Trent but this time, it’s made it up to Leeds.

I went to both the Bedford and Stoke displays and if they are anything to go by, this current exhibition is well worth a visit- the photos of it look amazing! It runs until the end of February at Leeds Gallery, York Street, Leeds, LS9 8AG

30 years ago today, February 13th 1983, the Red Hot Chili Peppers performed their first ever gig under the name of Tony Flow and the Miraculously Majestic Masters of Mayhem at the Rhythm Lounge in Los Angeles… and the rest, as they say, is (RHCP) history!

Here’s to the next 30 years!

If anyone is interested, Richard Alan White has contacted me to say he is selling some of his photographs of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, including Anthony Kiedis, taken at the Mother’s Milk aftershow party on the top of the West Hollywood Hyatt Hotel on Sunset Blvd, back in September (22nd) 1989.

The photos have been locked in a safe for the past 25 years and were recently uncovered by Richard. A double set prints were originally made (some of the original photos were given to Anthony) and then the negatives were put into a vault and basically forgotten about until recently when they were ‘re-discovered’.
