Many thanks to Henrik for this!

Insgesamt knüpfen sie mit »The Getaway« also an »I’m With You« von 2011 an.

30 years, the Red Hot Chili Peppers its typical Californian funk-rock sound has been perfected over again. So they do not do well in 2016 final. “The Getaway” is an album that does things differently, in the core but remains RHCP

Since then the band has made 32 years ago with their self-titled debut for the first time attention to themselves, they have released all ten album to date. For the last six the Chili Peppers worked with legendary producer Rick Rubin. All landed in the top five of the US album charts. 2016 it was still time for a change. Behind the mixer now took a no less legendary figure place: rock and rap producer Danger Mouse, who has previously worked for The Black Keys, Beck and Gorillaz and mitmischte updated on new Adele album. Supports this was by longtime Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich, who plays together with bassist Flea in Artrocksupergroup Atoms for Peace. Who therefore now expect a musical 180-degree rotation, but is wrong. The unmistakable Chili Peppers-funk-rock mixture is also on “The Getaway” in the foreground. A fresh wind blows on the new album anyway, as the first single, “Dark Necessities” proves. For funky guitar, groovy drums and slap bass is joined by a piano. Coupled with airy light Refrain drawing Anthony, Flea, Chad and Josh here a surprising music in pop style image. Overall, they therefore socialize with “The Getaway” on to “I’m With You” by 2011
