RHCP played a private gig last night!!

Walter Ryce, texting from Big Sur, 9:25pm

”It was played incredibly close to the chest, but now the story can be told: Red Hot Chili Peppers are playing Henry Miller Library. Tonight. About 300 people milling about on the library’s lawn can attest to it, including Rolling Stone journalist David Fricke and super producer Rick Rubin.”

More on this story as it develops.

”They are doing “Californication” as I write this. It’s the kick-off sneak peek of their coming world tour, brought to our shores by FolkYeah! and the Henry Miller Library. The Peppers are debuting songs from their forthcoming album at this intimate high-energy show. Big Sur’s own Beach Boy, Al Jardine, is here too.”
