WORKING Title

Dr. Johnny Skinz's Disproportionately Rambunctious Polar Express Machine-head new RHCP album working title

This name was recently mentioned by Anthony Kiedis in an interview; Article from SPIN magazine and Anthony Kiedis Interview discussion thread on forum and is now being assumed to be the title for the new album. However, Anthony states it is a working title which will be used until the album’s real name is comfirmed:

While Kiedis won’t reveal song details, he agreed to let SPIN in on the album’s affectionate working title, inspired by a friend who dropped by the studio: Dr. Johnny Skinz’s Disproportionately Rambunctious Polar Express Machine-head.

“He was reminiscing about one of his legendary acid trips, and told us that he had been playing a sold-out show to the planets and moons, and his number-one hit was, well, that title,” Kiedis explains. “We found it so funny that we told him for as long as the album was under the radar, that that would be our nickname for it.”

About Squitherwitch

I've been a RHCP fan ever since I heard Under The Bridge way back in the mists of time. I brought BSSM and then their other albums but RHCP were just another band I listened to (I was a massive GNR fan at the time) but that changed once I heard Californication! I've been involved with the online RHCP scene since 2006, getting more heavily involved as time passed, and eventually the time was right to set up my own website dedicated to the band and thus, TheChiliSource was born. Since then I've also set up AnthonyKiedis.net along with various Twitter, Facebook & Tumblr pages connected to my websites and RHCP.

    • There are really mixed feelings on it! lol Some people love it and some people hate it and non-native English speakers are having massive issues with it. It’s actually really growing on me but it is a bit of a mouthful! lol Maybe they should take a bit of it for the album title e.g. Rambunctious Polar Express?!! hehe
