The 50 Most Outrageous Stars Ever

16 DAVE NAVARRO WATCH OUT! NEEDLE’S ABOUT.

In 1993, former Jane’s Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro joined the Red Hot Chili Peppers, a band who’d already buried one previous guitarist (Hillel Slovak) and seen another (John Frusciante) depart mid-tour speaking in tongues. Which shows just how skewed Navarro’s judgement had become.

Admittedly, seeing your mother and aunt murdered by a man who lived in your house for five years is no one’s idea of a good start in life; hooking up with a bunch of fully-fledged junkies in Jane’s Addiction did little to smooth the road ahead. At the point Navarro was spotted writing”I love you Fiona” in blood on singer Fiona Apple’s dressing room door it was clear that the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ thing wasn’t working either. Drug-free these days, Navarro remains “eccentric”, not least when it comes to the interior decor of his home, which includes a coffin in the living room.

? He did what? Navarro welcomed visitors to his website with a mini-movie featuring himself masturbating languidly.
