The Great Lollapalooza Show
During this year’s rockin’ Lollapalooza Festival, we got to check out some awesome alternative groups like Pearl Jam and Ministry, Then we went backstage to talk with them about their favourite political causes. There was also a mind-blowing midway where you could get a fake tattoo, go for a bungee jump, check out the bizarre side-show, or pick up some politically correct literature (above). Midway food was mostly vegetarian, but the bands were into barbecued meat. Now we wonder what PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) would have thought of that?
1. Anthony Kiedis of the Red Hot Chili Peppers has a lot to say about the environment. “I have a very powerful desire to slow down the destruction of the planet,” says the fiery singer. “At the rate we’re going, with the carbon pollution of the atmosphere, we just don’t have that much time left.”
